Public Computers

Internet access and Microsoft Office 2010 available.  The first 5 black and white printouts are free; additional prints are 10 cents per page, color prints are 50 cents per page.  A library card is required to log on to the public computers.

Free Wi-Fi

Wifi is available 24/7 at all Lapeer District Library locations.

Computer Classes

Includes Computer Basics, Internet Basics, Microsoft products and more. Registration is required.

Book Discussion Kits

Book Discussion Kits are available for your book club to checkout. Each kit contains ten copies of the book, plus a discussion sheet. Kits are shelved at the Marguerite deAngeli Branch.

 

Notary Public Service

Available at the Marguerite deAngeli Branch.  The service is free and available by appointment.  Contact the reference desk at 664-6971 to make an appointment or for more information.

 

Meeting Rooms 

We are pleased to offer two gathering places. Available to non-profit groups only at no charge.

Yard Sign

Located on the lawn of the Marguerite deAngeli Main Branch.  Available for non-profit groups, free of charge.

Copy/Fax/Scan

Fax service  $1.00 use of machine fee, and 25 cents per page.
Copy machine  Black & White copies 10 cents per page;  Color copies 50 cents per page.
Scanning  Document scanning is available at no charge.



Marguerite deAngeli Collection

Marguerite Lofft deAngeli is one of the best known and highly regarded author / illustrators in American children's literature. Born in Lapeer, Michigan in 1889, she awarded the Newbery Medal in 1950 for The Door in the Wall, and was among the first to be inducted into the Michigan Women's Hall in of Fame.

The Lapeer District Library has a small collection of items about her life and works that is housed at the Marguerite deAngeli Branch. Items from this collection are on display in the library's meeting room and in various places around the building.
