Some Lapeer District Library card holders may notice that they no longer can borrow content from Overdrive. Due to restrictions put on us by our online resource providers, those services are available to residents of our legal service area only.

Our legal service area includes the townships of Arcadia, Burlington, Burnside, Deerfield, Elba, Hadley, Lapeer, Marathon, Mayfield, Metamora, Oregon, Rich; the city of Lapeer; and the villages of Clifford, Columbiaville, and Otter Lake.

All residents in Lapeer County have access to Overdrive through their home libraries. For example, if you live in Dryden Township, you can use your Dryden Township Library card to borrow items from Overdrive.
